Summer Programs: RTCSS continues to offer the ever growing Celebrate Summer program. Each week is filled with activities including: cooking, crafts, sports, water games, field trip, team building, movie and scavenger hunt. We offer indoor and outdoor activities each day as well as gym and library time. The perfect program for kids to be social and active this summer.

$30/day, discounted rate of $140 for full week; $500/month. Extended care available from 7am-6pm.
No extra charge for field trips for campers attending 3 days/week.

July 10-14: Fairy Tale Explore all our favourite fairy tales, decipher story time codes in our scavenger hunt, build a castle, and slay the dragon! Join us for games, crafts and activities based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tales.
Field Trip: Bridal Falls Water Park

July 17-21: Time Travelers Take a break from 2017 and go back in time with us. From the stone age to the roaring 20's, experience a different era each day. Dig up the pyramids in ancient Egypt, and compete in the Olympics of ancient Rome.
Field Trip: Eagle Acres Dairy Farm & Campbell's Gold Honey Farm

July 24-28: Atlantis Adventurers, treasure hunters and scientists alike have searched for the lost city of Atlantis. It will take a special team and we believe YOU have what it takes. Join us as we unravel the mystery behind Plato's lost City!
Field Trip: Vancouver Aquarium

Jul 31-Aug 4: Spy Kids Master your spy skills and put them to the test in our Spy Training Academy. Create gadgets and make a plan to suspend to new heights and discover the secrets of the CSS.
Field Trip: Planet Laser and Mill Lake Park

Aug 8-11: Around the World in 80 Hours Discover the many wonders of our big beautiful world! Take a trip through the diverse cultures and explore what the world has brought to Canada. Join us for an exciting celebration of our 150 anniversary! (4 day)
Field Trip: Science World-Made in Canada Exhibition

Aug 14-18: Welcome to the Jungle Trek through the jungle and see if you can spot birds, monkeys and maybe even discover a new species! Expect a special visit from a special reptile friend.
Field Trip: Greater Vancouver Zoo

Aug 21-25: Mystery Box Don't miss this last chance to have a BLAST at Celebrate Summer! Activities this week will highlight all of the best part of camp. Extra challenging scavenger hunt, final team building and of course Bubble Soccer!
Field Trip: Cultus Lake Adventure Park

Rentals: Rosedale Traditional Community School facilities are used throughout the year for birthday parties, meetings, clubs, soccer practices, and many other social, recreational and educational community gatherings. Facility is suitable for weddings, recitals, plays etc (stage available to use); can accommodate up to 500 guests for dinner. Submitting a Program Proposal: Please do not hesitate to speak with our Community School Coordinator at 604-378-0300, if you would like to discuss a program. A written proposal containing the following information is preferred:

  • Instructor Information: contact information, credentials, etc. Note: for instructors 18 years old and older a criminal records check will be required prior to the program start date.
  • Program Description: what will be taught, learning outcomes, duration, proposed dates, days and times, target age group, supplies required, payment expected (i.e. hourly wage, preparation time, supply costs).
  • Program Approval: Your proposal will be reviewed and, if approved, RTCSS will advertise the program and complete a contract outlining the terms re: program description, dates, times, payment, etc.
